JOB SUMMARY:
Company Profile:
The journey of Indian
Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as Pusa Institute,
began in 1905 at Pusa (Bihar) with the generous grant of 30,000 pounds from
an American philanthropist, Mr. Henry Phipps. The institute was then known as
Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) which functioned with five departments,
namely Agriculture, Cattle Breeding, Chemistry, Economic Botany and Mycology.
Job Description:
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (Ecology): Fellowship: Rs 25,000/PM fixed (Net qualified candidates) and Rs 16,000/PM fixed (Non-net candidates) with HRA as per Govt. norms in case hostel accommodation is not provided;
Essential Qualification: M. Sc. (Ecology)
Desirable: Experience in remote sensing and geospatial modeling.
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (Spatial Modeling):
Fellowship: Rs 25,000/PM fixed (Net qualified candidates) and Rs 16,000/PM fixed (Non-net candidates) with HRA as per Govt. norms in case hostel accommodation is not provided;
Essential Qualification: M. Tech (Geoinformatics or Geoinformation
Science);
Desirable: Degree in computer science, knowledge of
computer programming & MATAB with exposure to running climate models.
