Job Description:
Role Responsibilities: 1. Provide second-level technical support on basic operational or maintenance of personal computers and /or peripherals using documented procedures and available tools.
2. Guide L1 technical
support rep's troubleshooting efforts to identify products that are defective
and direct in issuing service calls in accordance with guidelines.
3. Escalate problems
when unable to make proper determination.
4. Remain knowledgeable
of Dell's product line and service offerings, current industry products and
technologies.
5. Remain knowledgeable
of Dell's procedural guidelines for issuing service and handling technical
escalations.
6. Log and sufficiently
document all agent contacts with the Support Specialist group.
7. Identify and provide
input on unique or recurring customer problems.
8. Generate/analyze
reporting specific to L1 reps to perform coaching needs analysis.
Candiate Profile:
Educational Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree, technical college or some college course work preferred.
2. 4-6 years of
relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
