The National Institute
of Animal Nutrition and Physiology (NIANP) was established on 24th November
1995 at Bangalore under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research
(ICAR), New Delhi. The Institute is mandated to conduct basic and fundamental
research with respect to animal feed resource management using
physiological-nutritional approaches to improve animal productivity and
profitability of livestock farmers.
Job Description:
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow (01) under the ICAR sponsored Outreach project entitled “Estimation of Methane under different Feeding Systems and Development of Mitigation Strategies”. This recruitment is subjected to terms and conditions in force in ICAR for such appointments. There is no provision of absorption/re- employment in NIANP/ICAR after termination of the project. The service of person, who engaged, will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project. The appointment is purely on temporary basis and liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof. The candidates will not be paid any TA/DA and will have to make their own arrangements for travel, stay etc. for attending the interview.
Duration :
March 2017 or termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications : 1. Masters Degree in Biotechnology / Animal Nutrition, with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor degree. Candidates having PG degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years Masters degree should have NET qualification.
2. Non NET qualified candidates will also be considered, however
their emoluments will be as per ICAR guidelines given below.

Emoluments :
Rs. 25,000/- per month plus HRA for candidates having Masters degree in Professional course / Masters degree in Basic Sciences with NET qualification. Rs. 16,000/- per month plus HRA for candidates having Masters degree in Basic Sciences without NET qualification.
Age Limit :
35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and PHC as per GOI/ICAR rules
