The funds from UNESCO came as Roubles from the then Soviet Union. In 1961 Parliament decreed the  IITs as  ‘Institutes of National Importance'. Since then, IITB has grown from strength to strength to emerge as one of the top technical universities in the world. Job Description: 1. Job includes building of interferometry-based optical setups and performing experiments on the developed systems investigating transport phenomena during aqueous solution-based crystal growth processes. 2. The focus is on the growth of protein crystals with lysozyme as the model material. 3. Candidates with prior experience/knowledge on digital holography would be preferred. Candidate Profile: Qualification:  1. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Courses with NET/GATE qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course. 2. M.Tech/M.E in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering can also apply. But preference would be given to those who have some prior experience in optical systems e.g. interferometry.
